artist statement

My work begins where things don’t fit—at the edge, in the exception, in what lies beyond the frame - in a subtle manner. It is in these places, where the impossible or the out-of-place appears, that I find the questions that shape my practice: how do we inhabit this world, and what do we overlook in the process?

Through diverse visual strategies, I construct sensory experiences and aesthetic devices that activate perception and invite the viewer to contemplate beauty from an unconventional perspective. The act of creating beauty where none seems to exist becomes a purpose in itself—a form of quiet resistance.

The themes that guide this inquiry include ephemerality, the relationship between human beings and nature, the intensity of urban life, singular human stories, and the tension of misaligned realities. There is beauty in pain. There is beauty in what’s been discarded. There is beauty in what doesn’t blend in.

Underlying my process is the obssesive pursuit of aesthetic harmony—a search that weaves together fragmented elements to construct new ecosystems of meaning. This search is a way of questioning what belongs, and why.
